How does a liberal political group in a small, conservative town keep up-to-date online?

I was partnered with Cazenovia Call to Action in my User Experience/Interface class to update their brand and reorganize their materials into an easy-to-navigate online presence, keeping in mind their older base of participants, vast collection of outside resources and email newsletter.
